An alleged drug courier is accused of hiding $15 million worth of meth for Hell’s Angels bikies to dig up later and being paid in buried treasure.

The man, 24, was nabbed by the Australian Federal Police on Tuesday after leaving a bush hiding spot in Winthrop in Perth’s south.

He was arrested a short time later at his workplace in Joondalup, where investigators seized close to $17,000 cash, a small hand shovel, and gardening gloves.

Police will allege the man recently collected the dirty cash from the forest hideaway.

He was allegedly seen by AFP officers burying a blue bag with close to 10kg of meth in scrub near a park in Edgewater, in Perth’s north, in March.

The drugs were then allegedly collected by a senior member of the Hell’s Angels bikie gang.

On March 18, the same man was observed by AFP investigators collecting what appeared to be drugs in dense bushland in Queens Park.

He was later seen buying two duffle bags in Joondalup, which he took back to the bushland.

The man was then seen moments later returning to his car without a duffle bag, police will allege.

Another bikie member, 53, was later arrested, with police allegedly seizing drugs from buried blue duffle bags at locations in Edgewater and Queens Park.

A search of the 24-year-old man’s home on Tuesday allegedly uncovered a cash counting machine and other evidence.

He was charged with two counts of trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs and dealing with the proceeds of crime, and faces life in jail.
