A pubgoer who thinks she might’ve met ‘the one’ on a night out on the town has enlisted the help of strangers on social media to track him down.
Tracey Hammond shared two blurry pictures that were taken of the mystery man, known only as Andy, while out at the Beresford Hotel in Surry Hills on Friday night.
She’s hoping the sneaky pictures – which were both taken while the man was facing away from the camera – will somehow reach the ‘tall, handsome’ stranger or one of his friends so that she can let him know she’s interested in him.
Ms Hammond said she met Andy while out having a few drinks on Friday and claimed the pair immediately hit it off.
The mystery man told her he was 35 and from Marrickville and was wearing a navy blue dress shirt, light coloured pants and black glasses, she explained.

While he gave her a number to contact him on after the night ended, Ms Hammond said, she thinks she must have entered it into her own phone incorrectly.
She’s now worried that he might have been ‘the one’ and that she has no way of contacting him.
Ms Hammond’s post attracted hundreds of amused comments from others, many hoping she’s able to track down ‘her Andy’.
‘I love that you’re having a crack,’ one woman said. ‘Good on you for putting yourself out there and trying.
‘How romantic… I hope you meet him and sparks fly.’
Another woman shared her own experience of meeting a man at a bar and failing to get his number, only to meet him at the same place the following weekend and begin dating.

Others were far less hopeful.
Many, particularly the male respondents, warned it was likely Ms Hammond hadn’t in fact taken his number down wrong, and that Andy may have purposefully given her fake digits.
There were also concerns that Ms Hammond or one of her friends had taken photos of Andy without him being aware.
‘Post [the pictures] on Marrickville 2234. His wife might see it and recognise him,’ one person suggested.
Others warned, or joked, the pictures looked like a man they knew who was either married or in a relationship.
