As many as 8,400 New South Wales residents have been put on high alert after fragments of coronavirus were found in sewer readings.
New South Wales Health confirmed on Thursday afternoon that fragments of the virus had been found in the Castle Hill Network.
The sewer system covers people living in Castle Hill, Dural, Glenhaven, Kellyville and Kenthurst.
