Body found in search for missing kayaker, 33, who went missing after becoming separated from friend off the Sussex coast

A body has been found in the search for a missing kayaker who disappeared when he was separated from a friend off the Sussex coast.
Shane Davies, 33, was last seen at about 3:30pm on Saturday when he got into difficulty in the sea near the Pagham and Selsey beach area.
At the time he went missing, he was wearing camouflaged shorts, a multi-coloured vest top and red life jacket.

Coastguards carried out a search on Sunday morning and discovered a body in the water, which police said they believe is Mr Davies.
Officers said next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
‘Our thoughts are with Shane’s family at this incredibly difficult time,’ Insp Oliver Pullen said,
‘I’d like to thank coastguard and other colleagues for their work to help find Shane.’
