Urgent recall on baby lounger sold at Big W and Amazon over fears it may cause suffocation

An urgent recall on a baby lounger sold nationally has been made over fears it may cause suffocation.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Consumer Commission announced that the Boppy Hug & Nest Newborn Lounger had been listed for a recall on Friday.
Product Safety states that if a baby or child is left unsupervised, they may roll off the pillow or move into a position that blocks breathing.

The regulator said they might suffocate, which can cause serious injury or death.
The item was available for sale online and in-store at children’s stores and expos from December 9 2020 until September 16 2021.
Amazon AU, Baby Junction, Babyland, Better Than Sox, Button & Wheel, Big W, Chicco, eBay, Matty’s Toys and Baby, The Nile, Tiny Fox, Unanderra Pharmacy and Whole Bubs were retailers of the newborn lounger.
The ACCC urged consumers to discontinue use of the product and return it to the place of purchase or BPM Australia for a full refund.
