A manhunt has been launched to find a former restaurateur accused of importing more than 900kg of cocaine into Australia.

Mostafa Baluch, 33, from Sydney’s northern beaches is wanted for allegedly breaching his bail conditions after he was hit with drug offences in June when his Bayview house was raided.

NSW Police are now appealing for anyone with information on Baluch to come forward with the man believed to have been last seen on Pittwater Road, Bayview, about 10.40pm on Monday.

‘Anyone who sights Mostafa, or who has information about his whereabouts, is urged not to approach him, and to call Triple Zero (000) immediately,’ NSW Police said.

Police believe he may be travelling in a dark grey coloured Mercedes SUV and is still within the Northern Beaches area.

Earlier in June, Baluch, who once owned Cervo restaurant in Northbridge, faced charges including possessing anabolic steroids, drug supply, and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

He was then hit with another charge of conspiracy to import a commercial quantity of drugs and was refused bail.

More to come.
