The 344 square feet shack called Ferndale was bought for in excess of £550,000 by someone who did an online ‘tour’.

Charts Edge, the estate agents, said the buyer did not see the property in person.

In an announcement confirming the sale they said: ‘Here’s a final glimpse of this stunning beach hut perched above Whitsand Bay in Cornwall with amazing sea views.

‘It created a huge amount of interest and we achieved well in excess of the asking price of £550,000 from a buyer who bought without viewing.

‘That’s the power of having a virtual tour created for your property (and views like these do help).’

Their blurb says: ‘As you walk down the cliff path towards the beach you will find Ferndale nestled in the gorse hillside.

‘The first thing you see as you go through the wooden gate is the absolutely stunning sea and coastal views.

‘You enter the property through glazed doors into a triple aspect open plan living room with whitewashed wood floors.

‘The cosy sitting area is focused around the log burner which is the perfect place to relax in the winter whilst watching the weather coming in from the ocean.

‘The kitchen dining area has a fully fitted kitchen with a Stoves electric cooker with two ovens and four-ring hob. It has wood work surfaces and a fitted fridge.

‘The master bedroom is double aspect and offers views over the sea and garden. The bunk bedroom is at the other end of the property with a luxury shower room in between.’

There are double glazed doors which lead to a south facing sun deck that has lawns on either side of the shack.
