The young racegoer who became known as ‘Fairy Floss Girl’ when she was pictured eating cotton candy at the Melbourne Cup carnival looks unrecognisable five years on.
When Daily Mail Australia photographed Karly Tsivoglo munching on fairy floss at Oaks Day in 2016, the images went viral and earned her internet stardom, with Kyle Sandilands regularly reminiscing about the pictures on radio to this day.
But the former Flemington phenomenon was just 18 years old when she was thrust into the spotlight and much has changed in her life.
Some five years later, Ms Tsivoglo is now a doting mother-of-one to a little boy, Apollo.
The young mum regularly uploads photos of her life to social media and still boasts nearly 5000 followers on Facebook – even after all this time.

Sandilands revealed he still thought about ‘Fairy Floss girl’ during a segment of the Kyle and Jackie O Show last November.
He gushed over the stunning brunette while reminiscing on iconic moments from the races, which was held without crowds last year due to Covid-19.
‘God, I can’t remember,’ his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson said dismissively. ‘Why was that so memorable?’
A defensive Kyle shot back: ‘Because she was a beautiful brown girl. She was just gorgeous. She was hoeing into that big fairy floss stick.’

After the producers brought up photos of Karly on the monitor, Kyle said: ‘There she is, the gorg! Look at her.’
‘Oh, I remember her,’ Jackie finally admitted. ‘Every guy fell in love with that girl at the time, didn’t they?’
Karly and her friend Alice Woodfall spent the day mingling with people, before the girls ‘had a few glasses of champagne, put a few bets on and just enjoyed the sun’.
She later admitted many men had professed their love for her both on race day and since the viral pictures emerged.
The said she found out about her Internet stardom when she woke up the next day and discovered her social media accounts had been inundated with messages.
