The co-founder of No10’s ‘Nudge Unit’ has accused ministers of using scare tactics to get people to follow Covid rules during the pandemic.

Behavioural scientist Simon Ruda suggested there had been an overemphasis on modelling and data that he warned was ‘propagandistic’.  

Writing in the magazine Unherd today, he said fear was initially used to boost public compliance…
