Patients will not be billed for ambulances as NSW paramedics begin five days of industrial action

NSW paramedics have begun five days of industrial action and won’t bill patients or travel outside their home station area as they demand a raise in pay, 1,500 more paramedics and more specialist workers.

New South Wales paramedics have begun an industrial action stand as they demand a rise in pay and for the government to address staff shortages.

The Australian Paramedics Association announced the action would begin on Friday night May 27 and would run to the end of the day shift on Wednesday June 1.
