Graphic footage shows girl, 11, being beaten and stabbed in Frankston armed robbery

Confronting footage being shared on social media shows an 11-year-old girl being surrounded, beaten and repeatedly stabbed in an incident involving other children in Frankston.

Police have charged two children, aged 12 and 14, after the incident on Gallery Lane, near a Frankston shopping centre, just after midnight on Thursday.

The footage, which The Age has chosen not to publish, shows a trio of youths in a dark lane heckling and taunting a girl, who remains silent, before one youth strikes her in the face.
