Dolphins sign Broncos, ex-Origin player Lee


Former State of Origin centre and NRL premiership winner Brenko Lee will join the Dolphins for their inaugural season next year.

Brisbane granted Lee a release from the final year of his contract on Wednesday, which has allowed him to link up with the NRL’s 17th franchise on a two-year deal.

Lee joined the Broncos from Melbourne, with whom he won the 2020 premiership, but has made only three NRL appearances in his first year at the club.

The 26-year-old will reunite with Storm premiership teammates Felise Kaufusi, Jesse Bromwich and Kenny Bromwich at the Dolphins as well as coach Wayne…
