Vinnies CEO Sleepout returns amid Australia’s housing crisis


Tonight hundreds of business leaders will sleep without shelter as part of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout 2022, with the aim of raising funds and awareness for people experiencing and at risk of homelessness.

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW CEO Jack de Groot says today there are over 116,000 Australians who are homeless.

“That number has been increasing census on census,” he told Sky News Australia.

“So we need to actually grapple with the larger provision of social housing in Australia.
