Crossbenchers angered after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese cuts their parliamentary staff allocation to just one

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s decision to cut the number of crossbench staffers has been met with criticism – as One Nation threatens to reject government legislation.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has angered members of the crossbench by slashing their Parliamentary staff allocation.

In a letter emailed out to the members, he informed them that they will only have just the one parliamentary staffer – in addition to the four in their electorate offices.

During the last Parliament under Scott Morrison’s government, crossbench members were able to have four staffers.
