Government officials in Hong Kong are scrambling to hold public lectures and seminars discussing Chinese President Xi Jinping’s July 1 speech about the future of the island city.

Xi spoke Friday at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, delivering a keynote address on the 25th anniversary of the Chinese reclamation of Hong Kong.
