Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says the Commonwealth is cooperating “very well” with the NSW government as he announces a $1000 disaster recovery payment for flood-affected residents.
“It is a seamless relationship we have, which is what people want to see at a time like this,” he said.
Residents in the 23 local government areas that have been declared natural disaster zones will be given access to the payment from 2pm tomorrow.
“That will consist of $1000 for adults who are impacted and eligible for these payments, $400 for every child who is eligible for this,” Mr Albanese…
