Australia should be ‘building nuclear power plants’

The Institute of Public Affairs Daniel Wild says we must “remove the ban on nuclear energy” with a recent poll showing around 53 per cent of Australians agreeing “we should be building nuclear power plants”.

The government’s climate change bill for a 43 per cent legislated emissions reduction has passed the lower house which will take effect on all projects that emits carbon leading to public concern about the power supplies.

“That is a longer-term fix to our problems we need short-term fixes in the here and now,” Mr Wild told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.
