Man, 29, killed in North Bondi spear fishing tragedy identified as Louis Touma, as tributes flow for the ‘absolute gentleman’


The 29-year-old spear fisherman who died after being pulled from the water at North Bondi on Thursday afternoon has been identified.

Louis Touma was spear fishing and free diving off the rocks with a group of five mates at about 4pm when he failed to resurface.

 

His friends helped to pull him unconscious from the water onto the rocks and desperately performed CPR until life savers arrived.
