Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has apologised for a photo showing two topless influencers kissing while at a private party in her office.

The snap, which showed two women kissing holding a sign reading “Finland” covering their breasts, was taken at the Prime Minister’s residence in Helsinki in July.

The picture was posted on a TikTok account held by Sabina Sarkka, a former Miss Finland Finnish Prime Minister contest and social media influencer, who appears in the provocative picture.

Ms Marin on Tuesday reiterated her right to live a normal social life but admitted the newly surfaced photo was inappropriate.

She said the group had attended a musical festival beforehand and returned to her residence where they “had a sauna, swam and spent time together”.

“In my opinion, the picture is not appropriate,” she told reporters on Tuesday.

“I apologize for it. That kind of a picture should not have been taken but otherwise, nothing extraordinary happened at the get-together.”

It comes days after private videos of Ms Marin partying with friends were leaked on social media.
