All roads lead to the MCG this week. In Melbourne, that is both a geographical and philosophical certainty. This year, it is all roads and a river as, for the first time, Friday’s grand final parade will begin on the famously beige waters of the Yarra before processing along Birrarung Marr and over the William Barak Bridge to the MCG. Nothing could say Melbourne more than that.
