The government has today unveiled the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sydney Mark Scott will lead a review into the development of Australian teachers.

He will lead a panel of education experts tasked with analysing the way teachers are trained through the university system.

It will provide a series of recommendations on how to strengthen the performance of teachers to provide better outcomes for students in the classroom.

Education Minister Jason Clare says there are a couple of reasons for Australia’s teacher shortage.
