An animal rights organisation representative has been grilled over the group’s call for women to refuse sex with men who eat meat, suggesting people should consider “going vegan” if they want to improve their sex lives.

Laura Weyman-Jones, marketing manager for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Australia, said the suggestion from its Germany faction was designed to get meat-eating-men to “sit up and take notice” of the impact their meal habits have on the planet and animals.
