Qantas backflips on ‘one size fits all’ menu with vegetarian meals set to return on domestic flights after major backlash online


Qantas has reversed its decision to dump vegetarian meals on domestic flights after it faced major backlash from the public.

At the start of the pandemic in 2020, the national airline removed vegetarian options on all domestic flights under 3.5 hours.

But on Sunday, environmentalist John Dee took to Twitter to express his frustration after being told there was no vegetarian option for him while flying from Adelaide to Sydney.

“I’m informed that #Qantas no longer serve vegetarian food on domestic flights (except Perth),” he said.
