Angela Rayner fired a broadside at Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng over their tax-cutting mini-Budget today, accusing the Tories of ‘enriching bankers while families are starving’.

The Labour firebrand made the accusation in a tub-thumping conference speech in which she also vowed to stick up for striking workers.
