Republicans will push US to a ‘harder stance’ on China


USASIA Perth Centre CEO Gordon Flake says there’s a growing assumption that Democrats will hold onto the senate and Republicans will take over the house in the upcoming elections.

“Republicans are in charge of the levers of the national security apparatus inside the House of Representatives and I anticipate they will be much more focused on China and if anything, pushing the US to a harder stance,” Mr Flake told Sky News Australia.
