Video emerges of Russian troops being told to ‘use tampons’ as bandages and supply their own medical equipment

Russian soldiers are being instructed to provide their own supplies for the war in Ukraine, including asking their wives and girlfriends for tampons to use as bandages.

A video posted online shows a military commander telling new troops they are responsible for bringing their own sleeping bags, medical supplies and travel equipment.

“Take sleeping bags with you. You will sleep where you have to,” she said in the translated video.

“All this also applies to medicine, diarrhea tablets, hydrogen peroxide, tourniquets – I don’t have enough tourniquets for you.”
