Australian govt plan to retrieve families trapped in Syrian detention camps


The Australian government is preparing to undergo an operation to retrieve women and children trapped in Syrian detention camps.

Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie told Sky News Australia the government is cautious to bring them back due to “radicalisation” and “security” concerns.

Ms Lambie visited the camps four years ago and said they are in “atrocious condition”.
