No ‘decision made’ on whether PM will scrap stage three tax cuts


Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says there are serious talks about amending the stage three tax cuts in October or May, but there has been “no decision made at this point”.

“The Prime Minister’s personal preference is not to alter them, but he is getting advice from people who are telling him, that interest rates could continue to rise, if there is no change,” Mr Clennell said.

“I think the PM is well aware of the political risk in this so there’s no suggestion that stage three tax cuts would be dumped in their entirety.”
