NSW floods, Sydney weather: SES warns of hidden danger lurking underneath pothole on NSW road

The NSW State Emergency Service is warning drivers to be cautious of flash flooding, as heavy rainfall and thunderstorms take a toll across the state.

One warning, from the Shellharbour branch of the SES service, showed a seemingly innocent image of a small pothole on a road.

However, the real danger, the service said, is lying just underneath.

“If you were looking for a reason to never drive through floodwater, here it is!” the SES said.
