Rights campaigners win 2022 Nobel Peace Prize

The 2022 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to three winners this year.

The winners included jailed Belarusian activist Ales Bialiatski, Russian organisation Memorial and Ukrainian group Centre for Civil Liberties.

Committee Chair Berit Reiss-Andersen used the announcement of the prize to call on Belarus to release Mr Bialiatski from prison.

The prizes will be officially awarded in Oslo. Norway in December.
