David Pocock to meet with Tony Burke over IR bill


Proposed reforms to Australia’s industrial relations laws are the most hotly debated topic in parliament this week as the Albanese government pushes to have the reforms passed by Christmas.

Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke will meet independent Senator David Pocock to discuss the bill.

The government is seeking to secure enough support from the crossbench to pass its industrial relations bill through the Senate before the end of the year, but multi-employer bargaining remains a key issue.
