Labor Senator Tony Sheldon says “big corporate gorillas” like Qantas Chief Executive Alan Joyce are “hoarding all the bananas” and there “has to be change” within the company.
“We’re having an airline that’s got an older fleet, they’re not re-investing, they’re turning around and doing share buybacks,” Mr Sheldon told Sky News Australia.
“They’re paying themselves executive salary increases substantially.
“As a company, it needs to have a rethink about how that company operates.”
