Clare O’Neil has had ‘ample opportunity’ to hear concerns about IS families

Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil’s visit to Western Sydney to hear concerns about the repatriation of IS families from Syria is “long overdue”, says Shadow Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews.

Ms O’Neil will travel to the electorate of McMahon on Friday, which includes the suburbs of Fairfield, Merrylands and Wetherill Park.

“She’s had ample opportunity to do so, and quite frankly, she’s being dragged kicking and screaming there, but at least she’s finally turning up and let’s see what sort of a reception she gets,” Ms Andrews told Sky News Australia.
