Family pay tribute to father who was killed working at construction site as fundraiser hits £86k

The family of a man who tragically died in an incident at Hinkley Point C have paid tribute to him as a ‘great friend’ and ‘loving father’.

Father-of-four Jason Waring, 48, is thought to have been crushed to death by machinery at the Somerset construction site on November 13. 

Most of Hinkley Point C, the new power station due to open by 2027, has been closed since the tragedy.

Mr Waring’s wife, Sarah, has paid tribute to him following his death.

She said: ‘Jason was a devoted and loving father…
