Six men arrested in Sydney over international drug operation

Six men have been arrested and millions of dollars in cash and drugs have been seized after a year-long global operation by New South Wales Police, the AFP and US Homeland Security.

Authorities uncovered several criminal groups allegedly working together to try to bring drugs into Australia.

The drugs were allegedly going to be distributed by two of Sydney’s most powerful Middle-Eastern crime families.

The combined street value of the drugs seized is estimated to be worth $300 million dollars.
