US stocks close higher Wednesday


US stocks closed with gains on Wednesday, as the Federal Reserve’s minutes from its latest meeting calmed investors’ worries amid future rate hikes.

The Dow Jones increased almost 96 points, or 0.28%, to finish at 34,194. The S&P 500 added 23 points, or 0.59%, to 4,027.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq soared 110 points, or 0.99%, to close the day at 11,285.

The New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq will be closed on Thursday due to Thanksgiving. They will kick off…
