Former prime minister Scott Morrison ‘pleased’ multiple ministerial saga has concluded following release of inquiry


Scott Morrison has welcomed the recommendations from the inquiry looking into the secret portfolios the former prime minister swore himself into.

The report was delivered to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Friday, which confirmed the appointments to the handful or portfolios were “unnecessary” as Mr Morrison could have been authorised into the health or finance role “in a matter of minutes”.

It also found the principles of a responsible government were “fundamentally undermined” as the former prime minister was not “responsible” to the Parliament.
