Households may choose between ‘eating’ and ‘heating’ with power price surge

Deputy Liberal Leader Sussan Ley says the government’s transition to renewables “pushes prices up beyond what is bearable to households and businesses”.

“We’re simply saying, do this in a measured way that keeps affordability, and doesn’t mean people have to choose next winter between eating and heating,” Ms Ley said.

“That is not a choice I want to see Australian’s have to make.”
