New York is poised to become the sixth state to legalize ‘human composting’ — which sees people turned into soil.
For $7,000, bodies are decomposed in ‘coffins’ for two months before the resulting soil is handed to loved ones to sprinkle over rose patches, trees or a nature reserve.
It has already been legalized in California, Colorado, Oregon, Vermont and Washington, with more than 200 Americans opting for the process to date.
