One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda had one non-negotiable condition for the manga’s Netflix adaptation, squashing fan-fueled hopes for any budding romance among its characters.
Netflix has won over One Piece fans with the live-action adaptation. Viewers even remotely familiar with the manga and anime expected nothing to come out of Nami and Zoro’s romantic tension, though.
