Labour MPs who didn’t vote for a ceasefire in Gaza this week have been focused by pro-Palestinian protesters because the get together’s inside row rages on.

Ms Stevens adopted Labour whips’ orders on Wednesday to abstain on an SNP modification to the King’s Speech which demanded an ‘rapid ceasefire’ within the besieged territory. 

On Thursday, the MP’s workplace was coated with purple paint and posters accusing her of getting ‘blood’ on her palms.

Protesters gathered outdoors MP Rushanara Ali’s workplace in Bethnal Inexperienced, east London, chanting ‘vote her out’ after she abstained on the vote, whereas MP Jonathan Ashworth confronted protests in his Leicester South seat.

Labour MPs confronted strain from members and pro-Palestinian activists to again the movement, particularly after 19 shadow ministers defied the management to talk in favour of a ceasefire. Ultimately, ten frontbenchers and 46 different Labour MPs sided with the SNP.
