A serious rescue operation is underway to avoid wasting 9 bushwalkers stranded in a nationwide park in NSW.
The group had been strolling alongside the Culoul Vary Path in Colo Heightson, Wollemi Nationwide Park, when one member fell, hitting his head, at about 7.30pm on Saturday.

Paramedics attended the scene and stayed with the group in a single day, treating the person, who’s aged in his 60s, for a minor laceration to his head.
A multi-agency effort is now underway to winch the group to security.
