Troopers are being provided a bonus of a 3rd of their salaries to switch to the Parachute Regiment amid a manpower disaster.

In a uncommon transfer, regiment commanders have provided £7,500 to tempt Military privates from different infantry models.

They obtain a fundamental wage of £23,496 — with the dimensions of the bonus indicating the severity of the issue.

The seemingly unprecedented supply was included in an inside doc seen by the Mail. 

The memo states the scheme ‘has been put in place to redress the Para workforce deficit’ with a ‘one-off incentive’.

The Ministry of Defence declined to say what number of troops the Parachute Regiment wants to simply accept the supply or when it was final required to resort to such means.

Members of the elite unit are held on ‘very excessive readiness’ to answer crises involving endangered Britons wherever on this planet. 

An absence of parachute-trained troopers may compromise the UK’s skill to guard its residents abroad.

The Parachute Regiment consists of three full-time battalions and a fourth reservist battalion.

 These models specialize in rapid-reaction operations as a part of 16 Air Assault Brigade Fight Crew.

A scarcity of paratroopers could be felt within the Particular Forces models as they supply the most important cohort of troopers to the Particular Air Service and the Particular Forces Help Group. 

A potential problem to the UK’s functionality to answer crises abroad comes as Britons are considered amongst these held by Hamas in Gaza.
