Simply Cease Oil staged a disruptive protest outdoors Rishi Sunak’s £6.6million residence in Kensington final night time. 

The eco group had been seen holding banners and placards that slammed new oil and gasoline licencing and crashed pots and pans collectively in addition to singing with a microphone whereas residents tried to sleep. 

Simply Cease Oil took to social media final night time to say 14 protesters had been arrested by police outdoors the Prime Minister’s home throughout the stunt. 

The group wrote on X, previously often known as Twitter: ’18 Simply Cease Oil supporters are outdoors Rishi Sunak’s home in Kensington, having fun with a efficiency of ”We Tried” by @louisehmusic. 

‘They made themselves heard by beating pots and pans and carrying placards studying ”COP Failure=Crop Failure”, ”No Relaxation For The Depraved”, ”Arrest the Actual Criminals” ”Cost Him With Genocide”.’ 

It comes after Greenpeace protesters managed to climb on Mr Sunak’s residence and drape it in black material whereas he was away on a household vacation in August.

The activists, who arrived at 6am within the morning – two hours earlier than police had been alerted simply after 8am – clambered on the Prime Minister’s £2million mansion in Richmond, North Yorkshire, whereas he spent ten days within the US together with his spouse and two daughters.

They draped it in what they described as ‘200sq m (2,150sq ft) of oil-black material’ in a protest at his backing for a serious growth of North Sea oil and gasoline drilling.
