Carbon County man charged with homicide in dying of lady in his residence

HELPER — A Helper man was charged Friday with homicide after police say he shot and killed a lady inside his residence.

Matthew Frank Juliano, 39, is charged in seventh District Court docket with homicide and capturing at one other individual inflicting damage, first-degree felonies; and drug possession, a category A misdemeanor.

Juliano is accused of capturing and killing a 64-year-old lady. Police haven’t launched the lady’s identify, however charging paperwork point out the capturing was a home violence-related incident.

The investigation started Monday when Juliano known as police saying he wanted an officer after which hung up. He then known as and hung up two extra instances, saying in the course of the third name that “an accident had occurred,” in response to a police reserving affidavit.

When officers arrived on the Helper residence, 40 Backyard Avenue, Juliano “was behaving erratically and wouldn’t reply direct questions,” police famous.

Juliano refused to reply extra questions and was arrested. Whereas being booked into jail, he was discovered to be in possession of fentanyl capsules, in response to police.
