SALT LAKE CITY — What occurs when an earthquake strikes underwater? Because of some scuba divers, now we are able to see it for ourselves.
On Nov. 8, a magnitude 7.2 quake struck within the Banda Sea area of Indonesia.
When the quake hit and the ocean flooring shifted, sediment all of a sudden rose from the ocean mattress. The video seems to indicate divers grabbing onto coral whereas being jostled by the modifications within the present.
The earthquake didn’t trigger a tsunami menace, in line with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Heart.
