The tremendous PAC backing Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential bid, American Values 2024, introduced a glitzy fundraiser gala for late January that touted Martin Sheen, who performed the U.S. president on “West Wing,” former boxer Mike Tyson, and singers Dionne Warwick and Andrea Bocelli as company.

American Values promoted the occasion final week by sharing it on X, beforehand referred to as Twitter, and the Day by day Mail reported the looks of all 4 stars on the gala. CBS Information obtained a replica of the invitation, and though it did not embrace the names of the artists, the tremendous PAC confirmed the report.

However quickly after the PAC’s social media submit appeared, Sheen mentioned in an Instagram story, “I don’t endorse RFK Jr. nor I’ll I be attending his occasion.” Sheen, who performed fictional President and former New Hampshire Gov. Josiah Bartlett within the award-winning present, added that he is “complete heartedly supporting Joe Biden and the Democratic ticket for 2024.”

The fundraiser, hosted by American Values 2024 and one other PAC supporting Kennedy, will have a good time the impartial candidate’s seventieth birthday at a gala scheduled for the eve of the New Hampshire main, on Jan. 22, in Indian Wells, California.

Bradley Whitford, who performed Sheen’s White Home deputy chief of workers within the TV collection, reiterated on X that Sheen isn’t supporting Kennedy.

“There is a story going round saying that Martin Sheen is supporting @RobertKennedyJr for president. The story is wrong,” Whitford said on X. 

Warwick known as the PAC’s announcement “completely ridiculous” and mentioned she was unaware of the occasion. 

“I do not know something about this occasion. I didn’t comply with it and I definitely will not be there,” Warwick mentioned on X. “If you’ll lie on my title, no less than lie about one thing cool,” she added. 

A consultant for Bocelli advised Rolling Stone he isn’t performing on the gala and that he will not even be within the U.S. this month. 

In a press release despatched to CBS Information, the Kennedy marketing campaign says it doesn’t have “something to do with organizing this occasion.”

“The marketing campaign has no data of who’s attending and may’t verify or deny anybody’s participation, both as leisure or as a visitor,” Kennedy press secretary Stefanie Spear advised CBS Information.

American Values 2024 has not responded to a request for remark. 

It is not but recognized whether or not actor and former boxer Mike Tyson will likely be attending the occasion.
