The U.S. launched 5 “self-defense” airstrikes towards a sequence of Houthi insurgent positions in Yemen on Saturday.
The strikes focused three anti-ship missile batteries, one unmanned underwater vessel (UUV) and one other unmanned floor vessel (USV), U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) introduced Sunday.
“That is the primary noticed Houthi employment of a UUV since assaults started in Oct. 23,” CENTCOM mentioned in a press release.
“CENTCOM recognized the anti-ship cruise missiles, unmanned underwater vessel, and the unmanned floor vessel in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen and decided they introduced an imminent risk to U.S. Navy ships and service provider vessels within the area. These actions will shield freedom of navigation and make worldwide waters safer and safer for U.S. Navy and service provider vessels,” the assertion continued.

The packages contained “medium-range ballistic missile parts, explosives, unmanned underwater/floor car parts, military-grade communication and community tools, anti-tank guided missile launcher assemblies, and different army parts,” in response to CENTCOM.
