Democrats and Republicans provided lavish reward for longtime Connecticut senator and former Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Lieberman following his demise at age 82 on Wednesday.
“In an period of political carbon copies, Joe Lieberman was a singularity. One in every of one. He fought and gained for what he believed was proper and for the state he adored,” Connecticut Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy stated on social media, providing his condolences to Lieberman’s household.
Lieberman served within the Senate from 1989 to 2013 and have become the primary Jewish candidate to run on a presidential ticket in 2000.
