Fugitive needed on 0K warrant arrested close to Port of Entry

ST. GEORGE — A visitors cease ended with the arrest of two males, one in every of whom was discovered to be needed out of Oregon on a $100,000 fugitive warrant, whereas the driving force faces potential felony distribution and evading fees, police say.

On Sunday, two officers have been watching visitors close to the Port of Entry in Washington County after they noticed a Mercedes registered to Jeremy Daniel Perkins, 44, of Washington, who was reportedly concerned in a pursuit with officers in Hurricane in February. The officers proceeded to conduct a visitors cease.

Washington County authorities say they obtained a tip stating that Perkins was in Las Vegas buying narcotics and probably firearms and that he can be heading again to southern Utah driving the Mercedes, in response to charging paperwork filed in help of the arrests.

Through the visitors cease, police say Perkins, who was driving the Mercedes, refused to exit the automobile regardless of a number of instructions after which pulled again onto northbound I-15.
